CHS From The Beginning

  • image In 1914 Equity Supply Company started in Kalispell. They provided feed, grain handling, and later added an agronomy center, creamery and retail store with gas and garage.
  • image In 1936 Farmers Union Exchange came into Kalispell as a competing coop with fuel, farm store and later added an agronomy center.
  • image In 1945 Farmers Union Exchange was growing and expanded into Eureka.
  • image The two Co-ops merged in 1997. They changed there to Cenex Harvest States and later changed there name to CHS.
  • image CHS is a farmer-owned cooperative working to help America’s farmers be more successful. Today, because of our belief in shared success and farmer-first values, we’ve grown into a Fortune 100 company that over the past five years has returned nearly $2 billion in cash to our farmer and member cooperative owners. Together, we’re making a difference around the world with our depth of energy, grain and food solutions—not to mention our full range of business services and our commitment to stewardship.

Carbon Monoxide

  • Not maintaining all of your appliances in good repair can result in potentially fatal carbon monoxide poisoning.
  • Improperly vented appliances can cause carbon monoxide poisoning. Symptoms of carbon monoxide poisoning may include one or more of the following: eye irritation, headaches, dizziness, sleepiness or excessive moisture buildup on the inside of windows.
  • If you identify any of the above-noted symptoms, ventilate immediately (i.e., open windows and doors) and call a qualified service technician for help. Never use camping equipment or portable heaters that are not designed for recreational vehicles.
  • Consider installing one or more carbon monoxide detectors inside of your home or recreational vehicle, which may sound an alarm to warn you of the presence of carbon monoxide.

CHS What Our Clients Say

  • Cheryl Polombo

These people go out of their way. It's almost like they know you personally like a neighbor or a friend. Ever since I've started doing business with them they consistently go the extra mile...they're just great.
